Quality and safety
The Quality and Safety of our treatments is a priority for YourBiome
Strict control in donor selection
During the first screening phase, donors will answer a health questionnaire where they will be extensively assessed according to their gastrointestinal health, their medical history and the absence of high-risk behaviors and infectious diseases. These results are analyzed during an interview conducted by the responsible physician who will decide whether the individual is eligible for stool donation.
Microbiological analysis of donated stools
The feces collected from eligible donors are analyzed to rule out the presence of various pathogens such as bacteria, parasites and viruses. For greater safety, feces are retained for a period of quarantine, after which re-testing is carried out. After a second round of negative results, the feces will be made available for microbiota transplant.
Given the current pandemic crisis, all feces are also tested for the presence of SARS-CoV2.
